Position Type: Bus Drivers/Bus Driver Date Posted: 10/22/2024 Location: Transportation Title: Student Van Driver Locations/Times: Service Center Position Summary: Drive a passenger van over designated routes in accordance with established time schedules to transport students to district locations. Term of Employment: 12 month position Salary: Per Local 95 Master Contract Report to: Director of Non-Instructional Support Services Qualifications: Have and maintain a current PA valid driver's license (CDL - S endorsement -P/Air Brakes) and be insurable by the District's Insurance Company, preferred. In absence of CDL, selected candidate must agree to pursue CDL license and endorsements with PennDOT. Five (5) years driving experience with a clean driving record Must be able to pass physical examination Ability to drive and maintain passenger van Ability to lift eighty (80) pounds Must be bondable Must be able to do repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling Must be able to do repetitive stooping, kneeling and crouching Must be able to do repetitive reaching and handling of heavy materials and/or equipment Possess current satisfactory performance evaluations. Professional tact, diplomacy and flexibility with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and the community Knowledge, skills and experience related to working with young children Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Examples of work performed might include; but not limited to: Safely transport EPS students District labor duties required when not driving Maintain cleanliness of vehicles Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisors of Maintenance/Transportation Evaluation: Director of Non-Instructional Support Services
