Job Description

Provide therapeutic services that help patients regain function in daily activities as an Occupational Therapist delivering home health care in Hermiston, OR. This contract position involves patient care in home settings, requiring reliable personal transportation. Responsibilities: Evaluate patients' functional status and implement physicians' plans of care. Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments using objective tests and measurements. Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team through communication and team meetings. Educate and guide patients and coworkers appropriately. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all treatment and coordination activities. Respond to changes in patient conditions and adapt interventions accordingly. Uphold patient rights and demonstrate empathy in all interactions. Participate in required educational programs and adhere to facility policies. Qualifications: Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Licensed Occupational Therapist by the State of Oregon. Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required. Current BLS certification. Preferred: Registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association. CRASE training required if contract extends beyond six months. Continuing education in physical disability, rehabilitation, mental health, long-term care, and home health/hospice preferred.
