Electrical Engineer Location: La Crosse, WI What You'll Do We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support and lead electrical engineering activities within a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role works closely across the manufacturing process, from raw materials through finished product, while supporting daily production operations. As a people leader, this position provides direct supervision to electricians and electronic technicians and plays a key role in plant construction, equipment installation, and continuous operational improvement. Responsibilities Lead and oversee electrical engineering activities supporting manufacturing operations, including electrical machinery, control equipment, and circuitry. Diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment issues, performing preventative and corrective actions to ensure reliable plant performance. Develop electrical diagrams, drawings, and specifications for equipment modifications, expansions, and installations. Plan, direct, and document equipment testing, recommending upgrades, replacements, or improvements as needed. Supervise, train, coach, and develop plant electricians and electronic technicians while promoting safe and efficient work practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with an Associate's degree. 5-7 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience. Strong working knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, DC drives, PLCs (Allen-Bradley), and process control systems. Ability to design, modify, and document systems using AutoCAD and related engineering tools. Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
