Job Description Job Description CUDS, LLC is looking to hire Cable Technicians in the Chesapeake, VA area and surrounding areas. We service Cox Communications customers with their triple-play services - internet, video, and phone. This is a full-time 1099 position with a typical schedule of 5 days a week (6 days required during peak seasons), covering 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. shifts. The job pays piece-rate, with the average experienced tech bringing home $1000/wk, and more experienced techs can average closer to $1500/wk. Pay schedule is net-21 with weekly pay. This is a physical job, and you must be able to work in all weather elements, scale and carry a 28' ladder, work in attics, and crawl spaces. This job also requires someone with A+ customer service skills. Cox Communications grades the technicians on a metric scale that you must be able to maintain compliance month-over-month. We do offer a training program up to 3 weeks, so entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply. If you're interested in breaking into this industry as a Cable Technician, please allow yourself at least 6 months to get to the above "average experienced tech". This is a repetitive business and is heavily based on the metrics you can produce.
