STAFF ENGINEER / SR. STAFF ENGINEER (ENVIRONMENTAL OR CIVIL)Broadbent & Associates, Inc. of San Antonio, Texas is looking to hire an organized full-time Staff or Senior Staff Engineer. This is a great opportunity for a recent or upcoming graduate in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field who wants to gain hands-on experience in environmental, water resources, and civil engineering projects. In this role, you will work with experienced engineers and project managers on a mix of fieldwork and office-based assignments, supporting projects involving site investigations, environmental sampling, technical reporting, engineering analysis, permitting, and AutoCAD-based project support. Responsibilities Assist with field investigations and engineering support for environmental, water resources, and civil projects Collect and document soil, groundwater, surface water, and other field data Support site inspections, monitoring, and field documentation Prepare technical reports, tables, figures, and memoranda Assist with AutoCAD drawings, plan sheets, and project figures Perform calculations, data review, and spreadsheet-based analysis Support permitting, compliance, and stormwater-related documentation Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients Maintain accurate field logs and safety documentation Follow company health and safety procedures in field and office settings Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field 0-2 years of experience; internships are a plus Strong interest in fieldwork and applied engineering problem-solving Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed Why Join Broadbent Gain hands-on experience on real projects Work with experienced engineers and technical professionals Build skills in environmental and civil consulting Growth toward PE licensure Join a collaborative team with opportunities for professional development Benefits We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a bonus program, 100% health insurance premium coverage for employees and dependents, dental, vision, a health savings account (HSA) with employer contributions up to 50% of plan deductible, a generous 401(k) retirement plan with safe harbor contribution and company match, vacation, sick leave, ability to earn additional paid time off, and disability and life insurance.
