Overview This position is part of the Global Foods R&D organization at our TPC facility in Dallas, Texas. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a key role in upholding food safety standards and regulatory compliance through effective sanitation practices. You will directly engage in cleaning and sanitizing equipment and production areas in accordance with Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Your responsibilities will include managing sanitation supplies, maintaining accurate documentation of sanitation activities, and ensuring our facility is always prepared for AIB, FSSC22000, and FDA audits. Collaboration with fellow team members is essential to achieving our standards for cleanliness and food safety. Normal working hours for this role are from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with occasional adjustments based on operational needs. Responsibilities Execute sanitation tasks to keep our production facility clean and compliant with PepsiCo Food Safety standards. Conduct daily cleaning operations per established schedules and SSOPs. Organize and prepare sanitation supplies, chemicals, and equipment necessary for each sanitation task. Adhere to proper procedures for handling chemicals; monitor usage and report inventory needs. Document all sanitation activities accurately and carry out inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. Complete swabbing programs (ATP, PCS, PEM) and accurately record outcomes as required. Proactively address any issues identified during internal food safety inspections. Assist in preparing the facility for audits and maintain readiness at all times. Provide insights on sanitation requirements during new product or process trials in collaboration with product development teams. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure safe and efficient operations. Support production runs for various product offerings. Comply with and document adherence to Safety, Sanitation, Food Safety, and Environmental standards. Compensation and Benefits The expected compensation range for this position is between $45,900 - $73,250. Factors such as location, specific job-related skills, experience, and education will influence the actual starting salary. Your recruiter can provide further details during the hiring process. Qualifications 1-3 years of sanitation experience in a manufacturing environment or R&D testing center, preferably within the food industry. Mechanical aptitude is necessary. Familiarity with AIB, FSSC22000, and/or FDA standards is a plus. A strong attention to detail and passion for executing daily tasks effectively. Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Flexibility to work off-shifts and weekends as needed. Strong teamwork and communication skills. A commitment to working safely within an industrial environment. Demonstrated self-starter capable of limited supervision. Basic computer skills are required.
