Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Take charge of the solution design and strategy for large, complex projects. Provide recommendations for solutions, operational plans, and strategies to senior and executive leadership while overseeing multiple projects. Lead strategic initiatives involving large, cross-functional teams, efficiently resolving any conflicts and challenges arising from competing priorities. Collaborate with capture managers and business development teams to shape opportunities before the RFP stage, owning the technical volume and ensuring seamless integration with cost, management, and past performance sections. Organize and lead solution reviews with executives and subject matter experts. Engage operations teams early in the capture process to design solutions that align with implementation and operational realities, acting as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Influence acceptance of updated practices and approaches among team members. Utilize internal technology capabilities to enhance differentiation and boost the likelihood of project wins, leveraging proven reference architectures, demonstrations, playbooks, and other assets to expedite implementation timelines and reduce costs. Define and manage technical win themes, discriminators, and innovative differentiators. Continuously improve upon existing processes and systems through conceptual analysis and interpretation. Prioritize capabilities that create innovative solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and solution feasibility. Develop comprehensive transition plans that encompass operational readiness, including knowledge transfer, training, and handoff activities, offering guidance during technology transitions and supporting training initiatives for successful implementation. Communicate effectively with senior leadership and present key information clearly. Mentor and lead teams in solution development, providing coaching and training to technical staff across the organization. Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Direct solution design and strategy for high-priority government projects. Establish technical win themes and differentiators for competitive proposals. Integrate capabilities from Maximus Accelerators and reusable components into solutions. Drive innovation through the application of emerging technologies and best industry practices. Conduct detailed competitive analyses and develop strategies to address evolving market trends. Lead solution reviews engaging executives and subject matter experts. Design scalable, extensible solutions utilizing the latest technologies. Guide the development of responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, including whitepaper contributions. Create estimation models and solution pricing strategies. Collaborate with capture managers to shape opportunities ahead of the RFP phase. Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior architects across various teams. Ensure all solutions not only meet compliance requirements but also align with customer expectations. Prepare transition plans that ensure operational readiness and implementation feasibility. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 12 years of relevant professional experience. Job-Specific Minimum Requirements: Additional relevant experience may be considered in place of degree requirements. Technical & Business Skills: Thorough knowledge of the government IT landscape and compliance requirements. Experience in estimation techniques and competitive solution development. Expertise in specific technology domains such as cloud, cybersecurity, AI/ML, etc. Understanding of security standards, compliance frameworks, and risk management. Prior experience with government proposal processes and competitive strategy formulation. Leadership & Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executives. Able to articulate complex technical concepts to varied audiences. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and motivate adoption of innovative practices. Adaptability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments across various time zones. Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances. Annual salary is one aspect of Maximus's total compensation package. Other incentives may include short- and long-term rewards as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract values but will be appropriate for job responsibilities and relevant experience.
