Commercial Cleaner

A nationwide, union affiliated janitorial company is looking for reliable people to join our housekeeping team and provide commercial cleaning services in a pleasant work location. Work sites are generally shopping malls or retail establishments, so employees must engage with the public during work. Some locations require working outdoors. This is a union jobsite: union initiation fees and monthly dues are paid by the employee. Cleaning tasks include but are not limited to dust/wiping, cleaning glass, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and using various machines to perform cleaning work. Primary duties: Clean restrooms Clean and maintain food court common areas (wipe tables/chairs and collect trash) Vacuum common areas, break rooms, and private offices Clean and maintain common area glass (doors, mirrors, well glass) Refill supplies and dispensers Patrol common areas on foot looking for/cleaning spills and identifying hazards Empty wastebaskets and large trash containers to a trash compactor Mop / scrub floors with auto scrubber Some employees may operate a golf cart, and cold or hot water pressure washer Clean using appropriate methods, equipment and chemicals Other cleaning duties as assigned Requirements: Must be 18 Must be able to routinely lift/move up 40 lbs. (50 lbs. for some positions) Must have reliable transportation in order to work shifts assigned Must be willing to work nights and weekends Must use cleaning chemicals, and follow proper safety training and use protective equipment
