Salary: $17.42 - $20.78 Hourly Location : Public Works Facility Burnsville, MN Job Type: Seasonal Job Number: 2026-00400 Department: Public Works - Streets Opening Date: 02/02/2026 Position Details As a Seasonal Maintenance II worker in our Streets Department, you will perform semi-skilled work supporting city street maintenance, including asphalt patching, concrete repairs, and light equipment maintenance as assigned. The Public Works Department plays an important role in the daily lives of residents and visitors by maintaining city streets, water and storm systems, and municipal facilities. This is an hourly, non-exempt position starting at $17.42 per hour. Summer hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with no evening or weekend work. How you'll use your strengths every day The Seasonal Maintenance II Streets worker values people and perspectives by: • Assist with performing skilled work in the maintenance of city streets. They are on the leading edge when they: • Assist with patches asphalt, repairs concrete, and catch basin cleaning. • Set up and remove work zone traffic control devices. And they expect the best by: • Operate small and medium trucks with trailer and small motorized equipment. What you'll bring to help you be successfulMust be 18 years of age or older. A valid Class D Driver's License or the eligibility to obtain. A background or interest in local government work serving the community.
