NoCounty AlbanyStreet Address University at Albany (Parking and Mass Transit Services)1400 Washington AvenueCity AlbanyState NYZip Code 12203Duties Description Working knowledge of the Vehicle and Traffic Law as it applies to the safe and legal operation of vehicles operated.Working knowledge of simple automotive repair and maintenance procedures.Working knowledge of routes to specific locations normally visited.Ability to operate assigned vehicles safely and effectively under various road conditions.Ability to plan routes to specific locations and to properly estimate time required to reach the locations.Ability to communicate orally for the purpose of exchanging information.Minimum Qualifications Possess and maintain a valid Class A or B New York State commercial driver license (CDL). Appointees will also be required to obtain and maintain a "P" (passenger) endorsement and may also be required to obtain and maintain an "S" (school bus) endorsement based on assignmentAppointment will be contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment testing for controlled substance use as mandated by the Federal Highway Administration Omnibus Transportation Act of 1991 (OTETA). Employment cannot commence until notification for successful completion of this pre-employment testing is received.
