Assembly Shop Mechanic - Suspension

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented mechanic to join our team. In this role you will support 23XI Racing in the assembly, disassembly, and servicing of race cars and their components. This role will have a primary focus on the Suspension and Brake department, ensuring all systems meet performance and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Assemble and disassemble race car components with precision and efficiency • Perform maintenance and service on suspension and brake systems • Inspect parts for wear, damage, or performance issues and recommend corrective actions • Collaborate with engineers and other mechanics to ensure optimal car setup • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols • Document work performed and maintain accurate records • Other duties as assigned by Manager Required Skills, Experience and Abilities To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies: • 3+ years of experience in a top-tier motorsports program • High School Diploma or GED required • Basic computer skills • Thorough understanding of mechanical components, brake systems, and suspension geometry • Ability to assess and react to situations in a fast-paced stressful environment • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Skills to work independently, and operate well under pressure to meet tight deadlines • Ability to identify and propose solutions to complex issues • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to drive execution and results Physical Demands:Lift/Carry Stand C 10 lbs or less C Walk C 11-20 lbs C Sit O 21-50 lbs C Manually Manipulate C 51-100 lbs F Reach Outward F Over 100 lbs O Reach Above Shoulder F Push/Pull Climb F 12 lbs or less C Crawl F 13-25 lbs C Squat or Kneel F 26-40 lbs F Bend F 41-100 lbs O N (Not Applicable) Activity is not applicable to this position.
