We are a global organization committed to exceeding our customers' expectations in material performance, customer service, technical expertise, and product quality. learn more about us at our company website General Purpose: The Quality Manager implements and manages quality programs, policies and initiatives to ensure quality standards are in conformance with established production objectives and regulatory obligations. Leads the corrective action process for customer and supplier issues. Works closely with the technical group to recommend areas for process improvement to maximize efficiencies and for improvements to the quality of products and procedures. Essential Functions: Directs and manages total quality function and quality system Responsible for planning total quality policies, programs, and initiatives Oversees development of new testing tools, methods and systems Ensure products and services meet quality standards according to ISO9001, IATF16949, and AS9100 Manages quality assurance activities, standards and personnel associated with the quality department Interfaces with all levels of management and employees to gather information and provide guidance for implementation Develops and updates process procedures to ensure that documentation is accurate and understandable Tests finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary for epoxy, phenolic, DAP and silicone molding compounds Works with the technical group to improve manufacturing effectiveness through the troubleshooting and resolution process difficulties through the use of Six Sigma tools and methods Works with the technical group to resolve customer problems in a timely fashion through investigation of materials and/or processing parameters and recommendations of corrective changes Supportive Functions: Maintain 5S standards and leads 5S activities Works with the technical team to evaluate, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, and methods to achieve the production goals of the organization Identifies and supports the development of process, equipment and manufacturing methods needed to produce epoxy, phenolic, DAP, and silicone molding compounds Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation: Should have knowledge of database software, design software, manufacturing software, order processing systems including SAP, project management software, and MS Office applications Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) training completion certificate required Design of Experiment (DOE) training completion certificate required Six Sigma Principles for Manufacturing Certification/Shainan certification or equivalent Internal Audit certification for the respective designation (AS9100, ISO9001, IATF16949) Education/Experience Guidelines: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering from a four-year college or university 1-5 years related Quality / Process Product Engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Demonstrated experience with the implementation and maintenance of ISO9001, IATF16949, and AS9100 standards Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Notice: This is a summary of the typical functions of the job, not a comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks and duties.
