Step into a leadership role overseeing pharmacy operations in a dynamic inpatient setting with a community hospital in Ohio. This contract opportunity as Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge requires a proactive professional to manage daily pharmacy functions while ensuring top-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Lead staffing, scheduling, and pharmacy meetings to maintain efficient workflows Oversee ordering and management of controlled substances, including narcotics Participate in sterile compounding and support infection control standards Provide on-call coverage, responding to pharmacy needs during off-hours Manage pharmacy technology, including EPIC order entry and Pyxis automation systems Support specialty service areas: Emergency Department, Infusion, and Orthopedics Uphold compliance with accreditation standards following a recent DNV survey Qualifications and Experience: Ohio pharmacist licensure required Experience in inpatient pharmacy settings with IV admixture and 340B program knowledge Leadership experience managing pharmacy teams, including full-time and PRN staff Familiarity with EPIC order entry system is preferred; training provided Ability to work extended shifts and cover weekends on a rotational basis with on-call responsibilities Schedule: Monday to Friday: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm (four 10-hour shifts plus on-call) Saturdays: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Weekend coverage beginning March 28 includes one weekend every four weeks plus on-call Friday evenings through Monday mornings Additional Information: Dress code: Gray scrubs Sterile compounding training provided via onboarding and on-the-job modules Supportive environment with technology including IVs and filling machines; techs cannot verify orders Potential housing assistance with local cabin accommodations coordinated by the hospital Nearest airport: CMH This contract engagement starts March 16, 2026, overlapping current leadership until March 27, with continuation until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is appointed.
