Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking an experienced Director of Legal Recruiting & Integration to lead the Firm’s attorney recruiting, hiring, and integration functions. This senior leadership role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to attract, hire, and retain exceptional legal talent across all attorney levels, including associates, lateral attorneys, and members. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Director will partner closely with Firm, practice group, and office leadership to assess hiring needs and ensure alignment with the Firm’s culture, values, and long-term business objectives. What You’ll DoLead Firmwide attorney recruiting strategy by developing, implementing, and refining comprehensive approaches to attract top legal talent aligned with the Firm’s culture, values, and long-term business objectives. Partner with Firm, practice group, and office leadership to assess attorney staffing needs, hiring priorities, and future workforce planning initiatives. Evaluate and recommend recruiting technologies, including AI-enabled tools, ensuring alignment with Firm policies, data governance standards, and operational best practices. Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing legal recruiting team, fostering a collaborative, engaged, and results-oriented environment. Oversee all department operations, including workflows, service delivery, and performance metrics to ensure efficiency, consistency, and a high-quality candidate experience. Design and lead Firmwide onboarding and integration programs for associates, lateral attorneys, and members, ensuring a seamless and structured transition into the Firm. Develop customized, strategic integration plans for key hires, partnering with sponsoring members and Firm leadership to support long-term success and retention. Collaborate with practice groups and department leadership to guide the assimilation of new attorneys and support their early career development. Serve as a primary external representative of the Firm in the legal recruiting market, strengthening the Firm’s visibility and reputation. Develop and maintain relationships with law schools, external recruiters, and legal talent service providers, ensuring strong partnerships and effective sourcing channels. Manage vendor selection, contracting, alignment, and performance, ensuring external partnerships meet Firm standards and expectations. Monitor legal recruiting trends, market data, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy and maintain a strong market position. Assess, refine, and optimize recruiting processes to enhance scalability, efficiency, and operational excellence across all recruiting functions. Implement technology and analytics solutions to strengthen candidate identification, evaluation, and decision-making capabilities. Develop, track, and present key recruiting metrics to evaluate performance, guide strategic planning, and support data-driven decisions. Ensure the accuracy, security, and governance of all recruiting data, partnering closely with Information Governance to uphold Firm standards. What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree required; Master’s or JD preferred 10+ years of law firm attorney recruiting with demonstrated leadership responsibility Deep knowledge of legal market dynamics and attorney hiring best practices Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills Regular attendance is required to perform essential functions of this interactive role Physical Requirements:The work is primarily sedentary. It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. The work at times requires bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights.
