Symantec Engineer - DLP

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled DLP Engineer with expertise in Symantec DLP R16 and policy development. This role focuses on Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) data discovery and policy development to ensure the protection of sensitive information within our flat network structure. The ideal candidate will be an individual contributor, working closely with a dedicated team to develop and implement effective data loss prevention strategies. Key Responsibilities: CUI Data Discovery and Policy Development: Utilize Symantec DLP R16 to develop and implement data loss prevention policies. Use tools like BigID for data discovery to identify the location of CUI data within the network. Develop policies to monitor, detect, and block the movement of CUI information. Reduce false positives and ensure policies do not hinder business operations. Experience Required: Proven expertise with Symantec DLP R16 and policy development. Experience with data discovery tools such as BigID. Ability to identify CUI data and develop effective monitoring and protection policies. Scope: Identify and locate CUI data within the flat network structure. Develop and configure policies within the Symantec DLP tool to protect CUI data. Minimize false positives and ensure business continuity.
