OPEN UNTIL FILLED REPOST Location: Richard A Middleton Education Center Work Schedule: 230 Days Work Type: Regular Full-Time Exempt: No Pay Grade: C9 REASONS TO JOIN NEISD Click here to view compensation information for Clerical/Administrative Support jobs IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CALCULATION OF PAY: The annual pay for this position is pro-rated based on the effective date of the assignment Please click here for further explanation/ example IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING OPTIONS FOR PAY (for employees who work 215 Days or less ONLY) Please click here for more information/ example EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited two year college or technical school; or six years benefits, accounting, analytics and/or data evaluation related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Emphasis and experience of resolving cross-different department workflow processes, Lawson applications or other large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency. PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY : Reviews, analyzes and reconciles benefit data; assists with using system reports to audit, research transaction history to correct errors and reconcile invoices, vendor payments, refunds and deductions. Additionally, monitors operating budget accounts; prepares requisition and purchase orders; requests payments; oversees distribution of communications and presentations for department benefit programs. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assists with regular audits and reconciliation of billing statements related to benefit insurance programs 2. Processes, documents and reconcile department deposits of recovery funds or payments received in appropriate accounts. 3. Responsible for supporting department staff with benefit system problems, corrective actions and resolutions. 4. Provides a management team with data/reports to make strategic and tactical decisions. 5. Uses problem solving skills to identify, analyze, and diagnose various inquiries or issues. 6. Prepare, process and submit vendor invoices for approval. 7. Assists Director of Employee Benefits with researching billing and accounting discrepancies. 8. Assists Benefit Analyst with analyzing data, generating enterprise system reports and needed corrections. 9. Assists in ensuring data integrity for department required reporting 10. Requests for bid information and submitting purchase orders for department purchases. 11. Sets up vendor service profiles for payment through district enterprise system. 12. Prepares and processes requests for payment and requisition/purchase orders through district enterprise system. 13. Help monitor department accounts and prepare Budget Change Requests as needed 14. Determines department budget coding and helps track expenditure under general operating funds. 15. Responsible for organization and distribution of communications for department programs for District locations/employees 16. Coordinates printing and distribution of employee benefit materials, employee orientation packets, open enrollment forms and bulletins. Maintains confidentiality of information. 17. Reports on time every day. 18. Performs additional duties and accepts responsibilities as may be assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: • Proficiency in Accounting and Purchasing, Spreadsheets and Microsoft Office tools. • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization • Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
