A skilled Imaging Interventional Radiology Technologist is needed for a contract position in Midlothian, VA at a busy medical center's Interventional Radiology unit. This role involves working with advanced imaging equipment and supporting a variety of specialized procedures in a collaborative healthcare environment. Location: Positioned in the Richmond area, Midlothian offers a welcoming community with a mix of suburban comfort and urban amenities. Responsibilities: Perform complex interventional radiology imaging procedures including biopsies, drain insertions, angiograms, and paracenteses/thoracentesis. Assist with imaging needs for CT coronary, MRI monitoring, and myelograms. Support line placement during procedures. Collaborate closely with RNs and other healthcare professionals within the unit. Adhere to unit protocols and maintain required documentation in EMR systems such as Meditech. Participate in on-call rotation for nights and weekends as needed. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Critical care experience and procedural area expertise are required. Demonstrated skill in moderate sedation techniques is essential. Preferred certifications: BLS, ACLS; PALS and Meditech experience are advantageous. Self-motivated with excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work independently and maintain a positive attitude under pressure. Work Schedule: Typical day shifts with 1-2 nights on call per week and approximately one weekend call every 4-5 weekends.
