Job Title: Epic Security Analyst Department: Epic Full Time/PRN: Hybrid or in-office; occasional after-hours/on-call support Job Summary The Epic Security Analyst is responsible for the design, build, implementation, and ongoing support of Epic security roles, templates, and user provisioning. Ensures correct access, compliance, audit readiness, and alignment with organizational security policies. Serves as an Epic security subject matter expert and a liaison among end users, HR, Compliance, IT, and leadership. Essential Duties & Responsibilities System Design & Access Configuration: Configure and maintain Epic security templates, roles, and classifications; Optimize user provisioning processes; Support security design for new departments and workflows; Collaborate with application teams to ensure workflow-aligned access; Participate in upgrades and new functionality. Support & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot access issues, permission errors, and login problems; Investigate root causes and implement long-term solutions; Use Epic security tools to diagnose issues; Assist Compliance with audits and reviews. Collaboration & Communication: Partner with HR, Compliance, IT, and leadership; Participate in governance; Communicate changes and security impacts; Support access planning for new implementations. Testing & Documentation: Develop and execute testing plans; Maintain documentation, change logs, and audit-ready materials. Training & Go-Live Support: Provide go-live and ongoing support; Assist training teams; Guide managers and users on access standards. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, healthcare, business, or related field (or equivalent experience); 1-3+ years in EHR systems, access management, IT security, or healthcare application support; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and customer service skills; Understanding of security, compliance, and audit principles. Preferred Qualifications Epic Security or User Provisioning certification; Experience in healthcare IT or identity/access management; Familiarity with HIPAA and regulatory requirements; Experience with Epic modules and cross-application security. Physical Requirements Standard office environment with hybrid or in-office options; Occasional after-hours or on-call support during upgrades, go-lives, and downtime events.
