Mechanical Engineer

Our Nuclear Programs and Consulting group has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to ensure client goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters within nuclear operations and engineering. Join our team and help us lay the foundation for human progress.Qualifications - Required Minimum Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program Demonstrate experience of delivering a range of projects from concept through detailed design completion Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and within the client organization Sole USA Citizenship is required. No Dual citizens or visas for this role (to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations) Preferred Qualifications PE license preferred NQA-1 experience Competent using discipline specific technical software such as: REVIT, Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, PipeFlo, AutoCAD, and MicroStation, etc. Q clearance or eligibility to obtain a "Q" Previous experience working with teaming subcontractors to produce a consolidate design Previous DOE Nuclear project experience Current or former US security clearance A person residing a commutable distance from our Oak Ridge, TN office 5 years of design experience with HVAC Essential Functions Work EnvironmentEquipment and Machines: Standard office PC, with software will be providedBuilding Information Management design softwareAttendance:On-Site Security training is mandatory before performing project dutiesTimely response to resolve issues is expectedTravel required - As neededOTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSU.S. Citizenship required.Valid driver's license is required.
