The Pool Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the club's swimming pool and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for members and guests. This role includes supervising & scheduling lifeguards, enforcing safety rules & club policies, monitoring water quality & chemical levels, responding to concerns/emergencies, and working closely with club leadership to deliver exceptional member service throughout the summer. We are looking for someone to join our team from May until early September for the season! Organizes and prepares pool related activities/events for members and guests. Ensures pool facilities and furniture is safe, clean, and presentable on a daily basis for opening. Ensures daily closing checklists are completed by all necessary team members at end of day. Acts as a team playing by filling in on the guard stand when staffing needs arise. Responsible for managing all lifeguards including but not limited to maintaining payroll, training, hiring, discipline, and end of season performance. Establishes and enforces policies, procedures and safety rules for the pool personnel and members/guests. Properly cares for aquatic equipment and keeps storage areas neat clean and in safe working order. Handles questions and concerns from the members and guests. Registers and logs all members and charges for guests use established by club's guest policy. Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory of chemicals. Ensures all team members are completing daily maintenance of the pool. Maintains and regularly checks to ensure a fully stocked first aid kit is on hand at all times. Regularly completes pool facility walks, picks up trash, and ensures a clean & welcoming environment for all. RequirementsWhat we are looking for from you... Availability to work flexible hours, including varying weekends and holidays Must have reliable/regular attendance and transportation Prior experience as a lifeguard, head lifeguard, or pool supervisor is required Previous pool management or supervisory experience is highly preferred Active Lifeguard & CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications Active Child Abuse Clearances - we will help you obtain these if you do not have them! Strong knowledge of pool safety standards and local/state health regulations Experience with water chemistry testing and chemical balancing Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills Ability to create and manage staff schedules Strong customer service skills, particularly in a private club or hospitality setting Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
