Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to review and audit security designs developed by our project partners for compliance with design requirements and standards published by CS. This position will also be responsible for developing initial design guidance and requirements through the identification of areas of concern, guidance of appropriate mitigation to be utilized as a counter, and assignment of the proper performance level for the selected mitigation. As a subject matter expert, the candidate will have a direct impact on the security of facilities, develop and communicate operational requirements for security designs to internal and external project partners, and recommend changes, modifications, or upgrades to security designs under review to ensure appropriate levels of security based on the identified risks. Essential Functions Review security designs developed by internal and external sources for compliance with physical security design requirements and standards. Provide team support on related security systems for construction projects, involving electronic and physical security. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents Ensure CS Policies and Standards are followed and adhered to. Complete project assignments with minimal supervision. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience with physical and electronic security technologies and concepts in corporate security roles. Experienced with design and application of electronic security systems for new construction, renovation, and redevelopment projects. Familiarity and demonstrated knowledge of federal requirements, manufacturer standards, and industry best practices for ESS. Basic knowledge of local and national codes (NEC, IBC, NFPA) related to the design and operation of security systems Preferred Qualifications Visio / CAD / Bluebeam experience Experience within the transportation sector Proficient understanding of threat vulnerability assessment process. Experience working on Federal projects. Interpersonal Skills Strong interpersonal and time management skills Proficiency in communicating technical information to various stakeholders and related technical staff. Clear and articulate when describing technical issues. Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects. Maintain effective communication with project manager and team members. Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive and trusted relationships. Excellent planning and organization skills are required for our demanding environment, and must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
