You are an excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing) You are fiercely dedicated to providing excellent customer service Here's a sampling of what you'll be doing: First line of technical support for a variety of technical issues affecting users Respond to user requests for support via phone and/or e-mail Ticket creation via our internal issue tracking system Provide end user/PC support either remotely or onsite at a client location (if required) Assessing the severity and scope of issues to ensure internal SLA's are met Routing issues to the appropriate team Improving customer experience through frequent interactions Assist users with basic e-mail flow problems, SPAM filtering Basic network connectivity troubleshooting - wired and wireless Participate periodically in the monthly server patching rotation Participate periodically in the after-hours call rotation PC configuration, deployment and troubleshooting Assist users with basic smart phone issues Assist users with general productivity applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe products, etc.) You should: Experience required with Windows desktop operating systems Basic understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting network connectivity Have interpersonal skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess the ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly Have technical awareness - ability to understand the range of clients we support and respond appropriately Have an understanding of support tools, techniques and how technology is used to provide IT support services Have good typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details Be self-motivated with the ability to learn new skills and work in a fast moving environment Have completed some college level coursework. A 2 or 4 year college degree is preferred. Preference shown to individuals with IT industry certifications or certification training (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, etc.) About Us: Polar Systems is one of the premier and most stable managed service providers in Portland.
