Position Type: Administration/District Level Date Posted: 2/25/2026 Location: SPECIAL EDUCATION Closing Date: 03/15/2026 Summary Support school program of speech-language services by providing speech-language therapy under the supervision of a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Adhere to federal and state laws, as well as, district policies procedures and regulations. Essential Functions 1.Comply with federal and state laws and district policies and procedures for speech-language services. 2.Participate in Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings with licensed speech pathologist supervisor, as needed. 3.Provide appropriate communication therapy in the parameters of articulation, auditory processing, fluency, language and voice underthe direction of the supervising speech-language pathologist. 4.Maintain therapy/School Health and Related Services (SHARS) records 5.Use management practices which promote teamwork and collaborative assistance for students with speech and/or languagedisabilities. 6.Develop and maintain skills by applying knowledge gained through staff development and continuing education. 7.Comply with State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology rules. 8.Attendance at the work site is required to meet essential functions of the job. Other Responsibilities 1.Participate in professional development activities as required by the district. 2.Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties; support district/department goals. 3.Maintain a professional code of ethics and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Valid Texas license as an Assistant in Speech Language Pathology grated by the State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Knowledge of habitation and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditions; ability to instruct and manage student behavior. Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors Maintain emotional control under stress; ability to work with frequent interruptions; prolonged use of computers and occasional prolonged and irregular hours; occasional district-wide travel. May be required to lift and transfer students to and from wheelchairs or assist with positioning students with physical disabilities. Valid Texas/New Mexico driver's license; subject to the district's drug and alcohol screening policy and regulation; must be insurable by the district's auto liability insurance carrier.
