This leadership role requires a dedicated professional with strong management experience to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-centered care. You will be responsible for maintaining clinical standards, overseeing staff development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering a collaborative healthcare environment. Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Manage operations of a large oncology unit, ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission, Nurse Practice Act, and other federal, state, and local regulations. Oversee the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused oncology care while maintaining efficiency and accessibility. Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams to implement patient care and service quality standards. Act as a patient advocate, resolving patient care issues and ensuring a positive patient experience. Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care processes and improve outcomes. Monitor financial performance, budgets, and resource allocations, identifying strategies for cost reduction and quality improvement. Determine appropriate staff mix, screen, interview, hire, and train employees while maintaining competency across the department. Candidate requirements Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a health-related field required (or four years of directly related experience). Master's degree preferred. Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience in a management or leadership role. Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience required. Preferred: Three (3) years of experience in an outpatient care setting and clinical specialization in oncology. Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License (required prior to submittal). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required). PALS, PEARS, and/or ACLS certifications may be required based on department needs.
