ATCS is seeking an energetic, highly motivated Transportation (Roadway Design) Engineering Senior Project Manager to join our team in Baltimore. This is an exciting opportunity to support and shape our roadway design services group in Maryland. The individual will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to various SHA, MDTA, and municipal roadway design projects. The diversity of responsibilities requires a flexible mindset and cooperative team-oriented attitude with progressively increasing management capabilities. Duties and Responsibilities: Daily responsibilities may include project design, task management, client contact, and quality control. Task management and development of roadway construction documents, specifically roadway plans, profiles, typical sections, cross section modeling, maintenance of traffic plans, specifications, cost estimating and planning Preparing reports and studies Preparing for, attending, and participating in public meetings Directing others in performing designs for various roadway infrastructure projects based on AASHTO, SHA and local municipality requirements; reviewing and managing designs prepared by others Participating in project/contract scoping, fee development, contract negotiations, and execution Participate in business development for the preparation of expressions of interest and technical proposals for future work Coordinating with contractors, utility companies and government agencies Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering 14+ years of experience in roadway design - preferably in Maryland; Additional experience in other ATCS markets is a plus Professional Engineer's license in MD MicroStation ORD and ProjectWise experience Familiarity with MDOT and regional design standards, practices and policies Why ATCS?: We're invested in your success - we offer training, development and growth opportunities We're committed to work/life balance - enjoy a flexible schedule and telework options We offer fantastic benefits - our package includes generous PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, floating holiday hours, 401k with company matching, and year-end bonus potential We work hard, play hard, and give back - join a sports team, attend a wellness event, or participate in our community service initiatives If you're ready to be empowered, make decisions that change your community, and join a company that will appreciate you and value the skills you bring, the only thing left to do is apply. Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 7.5% of the employee's annualized salary.
