Position Title: Nurse Manager of Mother-Baby Location : 7777 Forest Lane, Dallas, TX 75230 Shift: Days About Hospital: This is an 895+ bed tertiary care center, recognized for its advanced medical facilities and commitment to excellence in patient care. Job Summary and Responsibilities: The Nurse Manager for Mother/Baby Care Unit will assume responsibility for all department functions in support of the hospital's mission, vision, values, and goals. The position requires strong leadership, clinical knowledge, and management skills to oversee patient care in the Postpartum and Newborn Nursery practice environments. Key responsibilities include: Accepting responsibility for patient safety within the Mother-Baby care unit. Integrating effective communication and information management in daily practice. Adhering to ANA Standards of Care and Professional Practice. Acting as a liaison to foster partnerships with patients, their families, and significant others. Supporting the continuity and coordination of care across settings. Managing multiple levels of personnel, including supervisory positions, payroll, budget, capital, business plans, and physician relationships. Leading quality improvement initiatives specific to Women's Health. Fostering collaborative relationships with all members of the healthcare team. Organizing and supervising human and material resources within the department. Representing the hospital in community partnerships and institutional relationships. Performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Minimum of 5 years of recent acute care leadership experience in a Mother-Baby Unit is required. (Candidates with 2 years of experience at the supervisor level, including responsibilities in people management and process improvements, will be considered.) Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Advanced degree preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license required. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider card.
