Benefits:Competitive salaryDental insuranceHealth insuranceOpportunity for advancementPaid time offVision insuranceAssistant Estimator Position- Reviewing project invitations, creating a Bill of Materials for quoting - Steel, hardware, decking, joists, finish, etc.- Entering the BOM into an Excel spreadsheet per floor- Writing up a summary to be included in the final quote packageRequired Skills- A working knowledge of Structural Steel- Proficient in reading engineering prints- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite; proficient in Excel and Word- Comfortable working in a takeoff program; i.e. Blue Beam or adobe pro PDF softwareConstruction hand part-time Must be able to work physical labor, construction knowledge needed. Must be able to use tape measures/squares/levels etc. Understand carpentry/welding/fabrication/ironwork is a plus. Must be able to be hands on and work in the field as needed and in the office as needed to help the senior officers of the company bid more jobs.Will be given a basic tool list to be in possession of.Hours will differ from time to time, must be able to dedicate 12 hr days 5 days a week to the cause. Responsibilities will be a flex position.We will teach you pdfs and drawings.Excel and Microsoft word skills needed. Computer skills needed.
