CTG is seeking to fill a Business Analyst - Windows 11 Deployment opening for our client. Location: Remote Duration: 4 months We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support a large-scale Windows 11 migration and deployment initiative across a multi-site health system. This role will partner with IT Infrastructure, Clinical Informatics, Operations, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to model, analyze, and optimize the deployment strategy. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in: Assessing current-state device inventory and application landscape Modeling deployment waves and sequencing strategy Evaluating hardware readiness and upgrade/replacement needs Supporting capital planning and equipment purchasing decisions Minimizing disruption to clinical operations and patient care This position requires strong analytical skills, healthcare domain knowledge, and experience supporting enterprise technology deployments in regulated environments. Key Responsibilities1. Deployment Modeling & Analysis Conduct current-state assessment of devices, operating systems, applications, and clinical dependencies. Develop data-driven models to determine optimal deployment sequencing (by site, department, acuity level, device type). Analyze compatibility of clinical and business applications with Windows 11. Identify high-risk areas (e.g., critical care units, specialty clinics, shared workstations). Build dashboards and executive reporting to track migration readiness and progress. 2. Deployment Strategy & Wave Planning Define recommended order of deployment based on: Clinical criticality Infrastructure readiness Hardware compatibility Business impact and downtime tolerance Partner with PMO to create wave-based deployment roadmap. Support change management planning and stakeholder impact assessments. Evaluate pilot outcomes and refine rollout strategy. 3. Hardware Assessment & Equipment Planning Analyze existing hardware inventory for Windows 11 compatibility. Identify devices requiring: Upgrade Replacement Memory/storage expansion Partner with Supply Chain and Finance to: Develop capital forecasts Estimate procurement timelines Evaluate vendor options Align purchasing with deployment waves Support RFP/RFQ processes if required. 4. Financial & Operational Analysis Build cost models comparing upgrade vs. replace strategies. Estimate productivity impact during migration. Assess total cost of ownership (TCO) across device lifecycle. Provide executive-level business cases and recommendations. 5. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with: Infrastructure & Desktop Engineering Clinical Informatics Biomedical Engineering Cybersecurity Revenue Cycle & Administrative Departments Facilitate requirements workshops and deployment planning sessions. Translate technical considerations into business impacts. 6. Risk & Compliance Considerations Evaluate regulatory and security implications of OS migration (HIPAA-aligned environments). Identify integration risks with EHR, imaging systems, and clinical devices. Support contingency planning for critical patient-care environments. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
