Senior DevOps Engineer- 5 days onsite Manhattan, NY

Senior DevOps Engineer You'll own and evolve this company's hybrid infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on scaling IoT devices, building deployment and monitoring systems, and modernizing legacy components into resilient, automated platforms. You'll work cross-functionally, reinforce operational discipline, and raise the bar on infrastructure reliability and security-while mentoring teammates and shaping engineering best practices. The company is located in Manhattan, NY and will require 5 days onsite.What You Will Be Doing: Architect, build, and maintain cloud + on-prem systems for reliability, security, and scale Develop and automate tooling for IoT deployments, monitoring, and lifecycle management Lead modernization and architecture efforts from design through production rollout Expand observability across infrastructure and customer-premise devices using custom and commercial tooling Build secure network paths and connectivity patterns between edge devices and cloud systems Mentor engineers and drive shared operational and architecture principles Integrate infrastructure delivery into CI/CD workflows for seamless deployments and upgrades Required Skills & Experience: 10+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Track record managing servers and/or IoT fleets at production scale Python scripting or development for infrastructure automation Deep experience with AWS services Demonstrated success running hybrid cloud/on-prem environments IaC fluency (Terraform, Ansible, CDK preferred) Linux, networking, containers, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers Strong monitoring, alerting, and distributed troubleshooting skills Capable of operating under pressure in live production systems Clear communicator with team-first mindset Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.
