Lead / Journeyman HVAC Installer Indianapolis, IN 46278 $35-$45 per hour (based on experience) Full-time | Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (may vary based on job sites) About the Opportunity Our partner is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Technician Lead to oversee commercial refrigeration service, repair, and installation projects. This role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership, quality control, and customer coordination. The ideal candidate is a strong field leader who can troubleshoot complex refrigeration systems, mentor technicians, and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Responsibilities Lead and support refrigeration service technicians on commercial job sites Process, manage, and complete work orders and service calls Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems Install new refrigeration and climate control equipment Coordinate with customers to assess system needs and recommend solutions Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and compliance documents Order and manage materials, parts, and supplies for service jobs Test and inspect newly installed or repaired systems Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system failures Perform component replacements (motors, seals, compressors, controls, etc.) Communicate repair costs, upgrade options, and preventive maintenance recommendations Maintain service documentation and job reports Support training and development of junior technicians Enforce safety, quality, and company standards Assist with after-hours or emergency service calls as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED Proven experience in commercial refrigeration service HVAC/Refrigeration certification preferred Strong brazing and soldering skills Knowledge of local building and mechanical codes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics Advanced mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills Strong leadership and communication abilities Organized, dependable, and solutions-focused Comfortable working outdoors and in varying conditions Physically capable of lifting and handling heavy equipment Valid driver's license and clean driving record (preferred) #IND008 #ZIP
