Job Description

Growth oriented multi-disciplined Mechanical Contracting firm is currently seeking a Tenant Improvement Specialist to join our expanding staff and be an active member of our tenant improvement team.Integrated Facility Services offers benefits including Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, life insurance, disability insurance, employee savings plan, and profit sharing.Responsibilities: Formulate preliminary HVAC/Plumbing/Fire Protection space plans and sketches that integrate the client's needsCompile selection and specification of HVAC/Plumbing/Fire Protection and equipment, including layout drawings and detailed product description; and provision of contract documentation to facilitate pricing, procurement and installation of HVAC/Plumbing/Fire Protection systemsCoordinate and collaborate with other allied design professionals who may be retained to provide HVAC/Plumbing/Fire Protection services, i.e. subcontractors, sheet metal workers, pipefittersConfirm construction documents are signed and sealed by the responsible Engineer, as applicable to jurisdictional requirements for filing with code enforcement officialsAssist with administration of contract documents, bids and negotiations as the client's agentProvide reporting on the implementation of projects while in progress and upon completionUnderstand, implement, and adhere to proper construction safety practicesPerform other work related duties as assignedReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsRequirements:Associates DegreeOr combination of education and experience2 years experience in construction preferredProficiency in AutoCAD or REVIT and Architectural DesktopAbility to read and review construction documents; provide technical sign-off/approvalUnderstanding of the technical aspects of design concepts/budgets, constructability of HVAC systemsExcellent internal and external customer service skillsEffective interpersonal skills and problem solving abilityStrong Microsoft Office skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneouslyThe qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service orientedPhysical RequirementsAbility to climb ladders/stairsNavigate job sites to include rough terrain, working at different heights, depths and confined spacesInvolves work of a general office nature and field work; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a dayOperating at a copier/scannerRegularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and typeAbility to speak clearly so others can understand youAbility to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writingAbility to communicate in English information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understandRegularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displaysEEO Statement Equal Employment Opportunity Employer Protected Veteran/Disability
