Buyer – Electrical Category Locations: Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Charlotte, NC We are seeking an experienced Buyer to manage procurement of electrical materials for mission-critical commercial projects, including data centers and critical infrastructure. This role focuses on sourcing, negotiating, and securing long-lead and high-reliability electrical equipment while ensuring technical compliance, cost control, and on-time project delivery. Key Responsibilities Own procurement for electrical materials including switchgear, UPS, PDUs, generators, busway, cable, conduit, panels, and breakersSource and negotiate with major electrical distributors and OEMs to secure pricing, lead times, and equipment availabilityPartner with engineering, project management, and operations to meet technical specifications and project schedulesManage supplier performance, resolve delivery or quality issues, and drive continuous improvementSupport long-lead and constrained equipment procurement through early manufacturer engagementMonitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supply chain risksCoordinate logistics, expediting, and inventory to support fast-paced construction and commissioningEnsure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and quality standards Qualifications 2–7 years of procurement experience in electrical construction, mission-critical facilities, or large commercial projectsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain ManagementStrong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, backup power, and critical systemsExperience working directly with electrical distributors and OEMsAbility to read electrical drawings and specificationsProven negotiation skills and experience with high-value procurement packagesExperience in EPC, design-build, or electrical contractor environmentsStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsMust be a US Citizen and be able to obtain security clearance to be considered #LI-JM1
