Position Type: Substitute Date Posted: 7/31/2025 Location: Districtwide Date Available: As Needed Position Description: This position, under the direct supervision of a certified teacher will support students in the general education and/or special education classrooms and programs at both the elementary and secondary levels. Reliability and schedule availability throughout the school year are expected for this position. Responsibilities May Include: Assisting and supporting the teacher(s) in the classroom setting Assisting with supervision of student(s) across various settings throughout the school day Assisting and supporting student(s) with academic and behavioral needs Working collaboratively with faculty and staff Skills: Good communication skills Good organizational skills Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Patience and flexibility to adapt to various classroom/student needs Scheduling availability and flexibility Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma Must have prior experience working with children Reliability and schedule availability throughout the school year are expected Salary: Varies The Fairport Central School District is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
