The successful candidate will serve as a key legal partner, providing end-to-end support for marketing, advertising, and brand campaigns, with a focus on ensuring compliance with FTC rules, consumer protection laws, and industry standards. This role requires a pragmatic and business-friendly approach, with the ability to balance legal compliance with the need for speed in business campaigns. The VP will also be responsible for a broad range of legal matters, including drafting and managing commercial contracts, vendor and supplier agreements, and talent partnerships. Experience in managing litigation, overseeing corporate insurance programs, and working seamlessly with cross-functional teams is essential. Applicants for the Group Vice President, Legal Affairs position at the company should have a JD from an accredited U.S. law school, with at least 12 years' of combined law firm and in-house experience, particularly within a consumer-facing company. The role demands a candidate with a strong executive presence, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to operate independently while supporting the General Counsel. A background in marketing and advertising law, with a demonstrated expertise in FTC rules and consumer protection laws, is required.
