Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University seeks a faculty leader to serve as the Assistant Dean of Evaluation and Accreditation for Graduate Medical Education (GME). The Assistant Dean reports to the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and provides strategic leadership for institutional accreditation, program evaluation, and continuous improvement across all ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs.This faculty role provides executive oversight of GME accreditation strategy, institutional compliance, and evaluation systems. The Assistant Dean partners closely with GME leadership, department chairs, program directors, and institutional stakeholders to ensure alignment with ACGME requirements, readiness for accreditation reviews, and a culture of continuous improvement.Job DutiesThe Assistant Dean of Evaluation and Accreditation provides strategic leadership and oversight for institutional and program-level accreditation and evaluation activities. Responsibilities include guiding the institutional approach to ACGME compliance, interpreting accreditation standards, and advising leadership on risk mitigation and improvement strategies.The Assistant Dean oversees institutional processes related to the Annual Institutional Review (AIR), institutional self-study activities, and preparation for ACGME site visits and special reviews. This role ensures that evaluation findings and accreditation data are translated into actionable institutional improvement plans.The Assistant Dean provides senior-level consultation to residency and fellowship program leadership on Annual Program Evaluation (APE) processes, learning environment data, program outcomes, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role supports alignment of program evaluation activities with institutional priorities and accreditation expectations.The Assistant Dean works collaboratively with the Director of Program Evaluation and Assessment and the GME Office to ensure robust data infrastructure, accurate accreditation reporting, and effective use of evaluation data. The Assistant Dean reviews institutional trends, escalates concerns as appropriate, and presents findings to executive leadership, GMEC, and other governance bodies.The Assistant Dean represents the institution in accreditation-related discussions and serves as a key liaison with internal stakeholders regarding accreditation standards, expectations, and best practices.Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Required Qualifications:• MD, DO, or terminal doctoral degree required.• Current faculty appointment or eligibility for faculty appointment at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine.• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in graduate medical education.• Demonstrated expertise with ACGME Institutional and Program Requirements and accreditation processes.• Prior experience serving in a GME leadership role (e.g., Program Director, Associate Program Director, or institutional GME leadership role).• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.• Ability to analyze institutional data and translate findings into strategic actions.Preferred Qualifications:• Prior experience leading or supporting institutional ACGME site visits, self-studies, or special reviews.• Experience overseeing multiple residency and fellowship programs at the institutional level.• Demonstrated experience working with GME data systems and dashboards.• Experience presenting to executive leadership or governing bodies.• Formal training in medical education, healthcare administration, or quality improvement.Salary:Commensurate with ExperienceCollege or Department:Charles E.
