The Wood County CASA/GAL Program provides trained community volunteers to advocate for the "best interests" of children who come into the court system as a result of abuse, neglect or dependency, recognizing the diverse needs of the children served which includes diversity in race, ethnicity, economic, gender and geographic needs. CASA/GAL volunteers serve as an independent voice throughout the Juvenile Court proceedings, until a safe and permanent home is found for each child. Our long term goal is to provide a CASA/GAL for each and every child who enters the Juvenile Court system as a result of abuse, neglect or dependency.
