Electrical Engineer (Commercial / Retail Projects)Location: Tulsa, OK (Remote considered for highly qualified candidates)Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct HireWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a well-established, multidisciplinary A/E/C firm supporting a growing portfolio of commercial building projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead electrical design efforts, collaborate across disciplines, and work on high-volume remodel projects for a nationally recognized retail client.This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving challenges associated with existing infrastructure, values collaboration, and wants to make a meaningful impact on repeat-client work without the pressure of constant ground-up design.What You'll Do Design electrical power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting, and controls for construction documentsApply and interpret applicable codes and standards, including NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 101, I-Codes, and client-specific requirementsPerform electrical calculations and studies (load, lighting, short-circuit, coordination, arc-flash)Utilize electrical analysis software (training available if limited experience)Conduct construction site observations and prepare technical reportsLead electrical design on moderate-to-large projects with support on complex or unconventional challengesParticipate in client, contractor, and project coordination meetingsCollaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to meet project schedules and quality standardsPerform QA/QC reviews and support internal design standards and code compliance initiatives Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering5+ years of electrical power and lighting design experience on commercial projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) license(EIT candidates actively pursuing licensure may be considered)Solid knowledge of building, energy, electrical, and life-safety codesStrong communication and coordination skillsSome project or technical lead experience preferred Preferred (Not Required) Experience with SKM Power Tools and/or arc-flash studiesRetail or large-scale commercial project experienceExperience working on remodels or facilities with existing infrastructure Note: Power analysis experience is a plus but can be taught.Project Focus Majority of current work supports a major national retail clientProjects are primarily remodels, not new ground-up constructionConsistent workload with long-term client relationships Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experienceExcellent Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with company match (up to 4%)Employer-funded HSA contributionsQuarterly profit sharing (when performance metrics are met)Generous PTO with carry-overNine paid holidays + floating holidayOffice closed between Christmas and New Year'sPaid parental leaveHalf-day FridaysPaid surface parkingGym membership stipendCommunity volunteer time offProfessional organization dues coveredLicensure and continuing education fees paid Work Environment Collaborative, team-oriented cultureStrong internal support and mentorshipRemote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates (approval required) Why This Role?
