The Opportunity We are seeking a sophisticated and operationally-minded Director of Accounting to oversee the financial infrastructure of a diverse portfolio of subsidiaries. Based in Boca Raton, this leadership role is designed for a professional who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments and possesses the technical rigor to consolidate diverse financial streams into a unified corporate vision. As the Director of Accounting, you will serve as the primary architect of our financial reporting, internal controls, and consolidation processes. You will lead a high-performing team to ensure that each subsidiary operates with fiscal discipline while maintaining total alignment with corporate GAAP standards. This is a high-visibility role that partners directly with executive leadership to provide the clarity and transparency needed to drive our portfolio’s expansion. Core Responsibilities 1/. Multi-Entity Consolidation & Reporting Corporate Consolidations: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of financial results across all subsidiaries, ensuring the elimination of intercompany transactions and total accuracy in the consolidated package. Reporting Excellence: Deliver high-level financial reporting for the executive team and board of directors, translating complex subsidiary data into actionable business intelligence. Standardization: Establish and enforce uniform accounting policies and charts of accounts across all portfolio companies to ensure consistency and comparability. 2/. Subsidiary Stewardship & Oversight Financial Governance: Oversee the accounting functions of various subsidiaries, providing mentorship and technical guidance to local accounting leads. Unit Economics: Analyze the profitability and cash flow of individual subsidiaries, identifying trends and risks that require strategic intervention. Internal Controls: Design and implement a robust internal control framework tailored to a multi-entity structure to mitigate risk and safeguard corporate assets. 3/. Strategic Financial Operations ERP Leadership: Optimize the corporate ERP environment (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Oracle) to support multi-entity reporting and automated consolidations. Audit & Tax Coordination: Manage the annual corporate audit and act as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax advisors across all subsidiary entities. M&A Integration: Lead the financial onboarding and integration of new acquisitions, ensuring a seamless transition into the corporate reporting structure. 4/. Leadership & Mentorship Team Development: Build and lead a centralized corporate accounting team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement. Professional Guidance: Serve as the "technical expert" for the organization on complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and equity transactions. The Ideal Profile Professional Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership, with at least 4 years in a Director-level role managing multi-entity structures or parent-subsidiary relationships. Technical Mastery: Deep proficiency in US GAAP and a proven track record of managing complex consolidations and intercompany eliminations. Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; Active CPA is mandatory. Systems Fluency: Advanced experience with multi-entity ERP systems and business intelligence (BI) tools. Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate financial results to non-financial stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
