Job Responsibilities Conduct evaluations across various age groups using both standardized testing methods and observational assessments. Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate short-term and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on language development, fluency, vocal issues, and swallowing difficulties. Engage with a multi-disciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care approaches. Provide educational resources for patients and families, empowering them to support progress outside of therapy sessions. Occasionally perform inpatient assessments and therapy to ensure a seamless continuum of care. Document clinical information accurately and on time in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Remain updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Essential Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapies for all age groups, with profound knowledge of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Skillful at adjusting therapy methods to cater to different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making capabilities. Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols.
