Overview & Responsibilities The Manager Compensation and Benefits is responsible for the operational implementation, and administration of the company's compensation and benefits programs. This role ensures competitive, compliant, and equitable total rewards offerings that align with business objectives and market trends. The Manager will also provide guidance to HR Business Partners and management on compensation and benefits-related decisions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Benefits Program Administration Manage and administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave programs, wellness initiatives, and other fringe benefits. Partners with outside vendors including benefit providers, recordkeeper, brokers, actuaries, trustee, legal counsel, auditors, etc. and engages with them to resolve issues, and address needs. Lead communication efforts related to benefits to ensure employee understanding and appreciation of the total rewards offering. Acts as benefit spokesperson to employees, retirees, dependents, beneficiaries, insurance carriers, miscellaneous benefit vendors, etc., in matters pertaining to benefits at all US locations. Protects company investments by continual audit and control of administrative procedures and identification/implementation of process improvements. Compiles and submits all pertinent information required relative to savings plans, pension plans, medical plans, for purposes of producing benefit statements, actuarial evaluations, SPD's, etc. Conducts annual open enrollment for all employees and eligible retirees - bargaining and non-bargaining. Compiles information for annual nondiscrimination testing and annual 5500 filings for plans as required by the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor. Compensation Program Management Lead the day-to-day administration of the compensation strategy, including salary structures, incentive plans, and the annual merit review process. Conduct regular market assessments and benchmarking to ensure the company's compensation offerings are competitive. Collaborate with HR Business Partners on job evaluations for new or updated roles, using the Hay Group Guide Chart-Profile Method. Maintain comprehensive job description and job evaluation databases. Compliance and Reporting Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local compensation and benefits laws, including but not limited to FLSA, ERISA, COBRA and ACA. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for compensation and benefits to ensure consistency, equity, and transparency across the organization. Provide complex analytical, technical, and operational support to the HR team. QUALIFACTIONS Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a compensation and benefits role, with demonstrated experience with the administration and management of the full suite of employee benefits and compensation programs. Working knowledge of job evaluation, annual salary planning, and compensation/benefits data analytics including strong MS Excel skills. Must have the ability to audit and set-up controls to aid in cost control, and to analyze and report trends. In-depth knowledge of compensation structures and benefits program design. Must demonstrate strong customer service, communication, and organization skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, MBA or similar. Global compensation and benefits management experience.
