Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions centering on various facets, including communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work collaboratively with fellow healthcare professionals-physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and family members-to ensure unified care plans. Educate patients and families to bolster their progress beyond clinical interactions. Participate in the occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment process. Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational policies. Stay abreast of advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with colleagues. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills Proficient in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all age groups, with a strong grasp of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, both developmental and acquired. Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Adaptive therapy techniques that cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
