As a Speech Language Pathologist in the culturally rich and diverse environment of Saint Paul, your role transcends addressing communication and swallowing disorders; it is about empowering individuals to express their needs, desires, and stories. This is where you will work with a wide array of clients, from young children grasping their first words to mature adults seeking to reclaim their freedom of speech. This position offers a remarkable chance to engage with clients at various life stages in a setting that harmonizes outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient interventions. Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational strategies. Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and long-standing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Administer personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals - including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians - to formulate integrated care strategies. Extend patient and family education to facilitate progress and development outside of the clinical environment. Occasionally partake in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a continuous care journey for your patients. Keep meticulous and timely records that comply with all relevant documentation regulations. Commit to lifelong learning by staying abreast of developments in the field through continuing education and collaborative learning opportunities. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies suitable for all age groups, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Flexibility to modify therapy approaches to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment paired with adept problem-solving skills. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and applicable documentation standards. Benefits Competitive salary in accordance with experience. Flexible scheduling options for enhanced work-life balance and diverse caseloads. Chances to specialize in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy. Paid time off (PTO) and holiday remuneration. Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, and life. Support for continuing education and professional growth. Work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment committed to delivering high-quality care and promoting lifelong learning. A Career That Inspires Every Day As a Speech Language Pathologist, you won't merely be delivering therapy; you will play a pivotal role in a community-focused mission to revive voices, enhance communication skills, and create joy through the fundamental human experiences of listening and being heard. Here, you'll collaborate with clinicians who see each other as family in a setting that prioritizes teamwork over rivalry. Every patient has a tale to share; it will be your responsibility to help narrate it.
