Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication skills, language usage, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions. Engage in collaborative efforts with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise comprehensive care plans. Provide education to patients and their families, ensuring support continues outside clinical settings. Perform the occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the patient's journey. Keep precise and timely documentation to comply with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay updated on the latest developments in speech pathology through ongoing education and teamwork with peers. Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Licensure and Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices across all age groups, with comprehensive knowledge of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams. Adept at modifying therapy methods to suit varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
