Schedule: Full-time onsite, M-F Conversion Details: None. This role is likely to book for 12 months and can renew for another 12 months Degree: BS preferred in a related field. Experience is prioritized over the degree, with justification. Reason for opening: J&J is looking to strengthen cost & schedule oversight, field verification, and restore forecast confidence to original targets. Additional information in story below. Requirements for the job: 8-15 years of project controls experience in biotech/biologics or similar regulated capital projects. Experience on $100M+ projects (preferably $150M-$200M). Hybrid skill set: office analytics + field verification. Field verification is critical Able to prepare monthly cost reports and Executive Summary Reports Ability to quickly learn and navigate established &J workbook and cost structures. Quick ramp up matters. What are 3 Technical Questions/Answers we can ask during our screening? Describe a recent capital project where you were responsible for cost controls. What was the total project value, and what specific cost-control tools or workbooks did you manage day-to-day? How have you validated contractor invoices against physical work-in-place? Walk me through your process and an example of when you found a discrepancy. Explain your approach to risk identification and cost exposure control. Why is this approach important? What are 3 technical Non-Negotiables a candidate needs to have experience with? (Does it clearly show that on their resume?) Experience with cost systems (SAP, EcoSys, or similar) Experience with: forecasting, cost segregation and variance analysis, proven ability to reconcile reported costs with actuals. Feb 9, 2026 Req. Story The Wilson "Bio NC" project is a high-profile, multi-billion dollar investment for Johnson & Johnson. It is a multi-building program that includes: production, central utilities (CUB), laboratories, warehouse, and significant site infrastructure Accurate cost forecasting is critical to success. As current costs are misaligned with financial milestones, J&J is bringing in 4 new resources to realign real costs with projected forecasts by conducting field verification. All 4 resources will provide field verification (critical). This Cost Support role will focus on validating commitments and actuals, reconciling discrepancies, and improving forecast accuracy. By restoring trust in cost data, this role helps leadership make informed decisions, avoid overruns, and keep the project on track for its budget and delivery. Cost Controls Support Resource is expected to be onsite at the "Bio NC jobsite" in Wilson, NC; every day and days expected to be away from work must be previously coordinated with the onsite Project Controls Manager. Resource is expected to be well-versed in Microsoft Excel and to learn the ins and outs of the established J&J cost workbook in short order in order to promptly be able to... Support cost controls team with validation of actual invoiced amounts and segregation of these per established breakdown categories such as; Capital, Expense and by Each Business Entity Support cost controls team with segregation of raised purchase requests and issued purchase orders per established breakdown categories Support cost controls team with active gathering of cost data pertinent to monthly cash flow analysis and forecasts Support cost controls team with field verification and reconciliation, where required, of invoiced amounts to work-in-place Resource must be eager to quickly learn and engage in this fast-tracked, multi-faceted and challenging program Resource must possess strong collaboration, communication and messaging skills Resource must have a proven record of excelling in large team environments Measure of success will be the cost controls teams' on time, monthly issuance of completed cost reports, Executive Summary Reports (ESRs), and cashflow analysis Skills and Requirements - add details here
