Job Summary: Provide expert anesthesia care across various settings including the operating room, outpatient surgery, obstetrics, and post-anesthesia care units. Collaborate closely with medical and nursing staff to address clinical challenges and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Participate actively in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assist in budget planning within the anesthesia department. Essential Functions: Administer all forms of anesthesia such as general, regional, local, minimal, moderate, and deep sedation with proficiency. Apply knowledge of growth and development principles to deliver age-appropriate care from neonates to geriatrics. Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic assessments including review of lab results, studies, consults, and clinical history. Effectively assess and manage patient pain, educating patients and families on pain control strategies. Ensure patient safety by minimizing healthcare errors and fostering a culture of quality and safety. Obtain informed consent by clearly communicating risks, complications, and anesthesia options. Develop and document individualized anesthetic care plans prior to administration. Perform immediate pre-induction assessments and document findings accurately. Education: Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program recognized by the AANA Council on Accreditation or its predecessor. Current certification or recertification from the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or equivalent. Licensure and Certifications: Active Registered Nurse license in the relevant state. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Experience: Minimum of three years' experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Professional Requirements: Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements. Respond to on-call duties within 20 minutes. Demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, and effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
