Cloud DBA

Job Description We are seeking a Strong Cloud DBA to support our client, in a hybrid environment based in Scottsdale, AZ or Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience managing Postgres, MySQL, and Cassandra databases across cloud environments, with strong expertise in performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery design. This role requires hands-on experience at design, operational, and system levels, supporting enterprise-scale production systems. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Administer and support Postgres, MySQL, and Cassandra databases in cloud environments Perform advanced performance tuning at application, database, and system levels Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies aligned with business objectives Configure and manage High Availability (HA), clustering, and replication solutions Monitor database performance, security, and integrity in production environments Troubleshoot complex database issues and ensure system stability Support deployments, upgrades, patching, and environment migrations Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (Cloud Preferred) Strong hands-on experience with: PostgreSQL MySQL Cassandra Experience implementing: Clustering Replication High Availability solutions Disaster Recovery planning and execution Strong expertise in performance tuning of production database systems Experience working in hybrid or cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP preferred) Strong understanding of database architecture and system-level optimization
