The Customer Service Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in enhancing sales, elevating customer service, maintaining store aesthetics, and optimizing store operations. This role will also take on shift management responsibilities when Assistant or Store Manager is unavailable. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lead the store team in delivering exceptional customer service to both retail and professional clientele. Oversee customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team member adherence to customer service initiatives (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.). Ensure the phone is answered according to company policy. Efficiently manage buy online/ship to store requests, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders, ensuring timely customer notifications upon shipment arrival. Facilitate effective handling of special orders and outside purchases using the electronic outside purchase order ledger. Process retail customer returns and exchanges promptly and courteously, accurately issuing refunds using the designated payment methods, and organizing returned merchandise appropriately. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced prior to leaving the store. Communicate Zipline messages and assign Image Maker and merchandising tasks to team members, ensuring completion as required. Monitor team member compliance with the posted work schedule, approving any changes or deviations through management, and ensuring proper time clocking procedures are followed. Perform all opening and closing duties of the store, including day-end procedures, securing deposits, locking up, arming security systems, and ensuring delivery vehicles are properly secured. Undertake additional tasks as assigned. SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES Required: Strong communication skills Ability to obtain RSS Certification Desired: Experience in retail sales, especially in the auto parts sector Knowledge of automotive systems and repairs ASE Certification Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly preferred) O'Reilly Auto Parts is known for its consistent growth and stability, showcasing countless successful career stories.
