We are in search of a dynamic and strategic leader to spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive compliance program tailored to the unique challenges of oncology practice management. This role will be pivotal in promoting a culture of ethical behavior, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and industry best practices, and promoting the core values of Cardinal Health while prioritizing exceptional patient care and organizational achievement. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities. With a solid foundation in healthcare compliance, a deep understanding of relevant regulations, and a proven ability to implement effective solutions in complex organizations, you will play a vital role in our compliance initiatives. Key Responsibilities Implement a robust compliance program and nurture a strong ethics culture within the organization. Provide expert advice on laws, regulations, and the company's ethical standards, such as the Federal and State Anti-Kickback Statutes, False Claims Act, Stark Law, and Corporate Practice of Medicine. Conduct quarterly meetings with the Compliance Committee and senior management. Engage in annual organizational risk assessments to identify and prioritize compliance risks in collaboration with various departments while keeping an eye on the evolving regulatory landscape. Create and execute compliance work plans based on risk assessment outcomes, outlining objectives, responsibilities, timelines, and monitoring systems. Stay current with new regulations, laws, and industry policies, and foster the growth of subject matter experts within the team. Enhance Ethics and Compliance activities based on shifts in legal requirements or business strategies. Work closely with business partners to oversee monitoring and auditing of compliance areas. Identify and report on trends and findings that may require updates to policies, procedures, internal controls, or training programs. Collaborate with internal teams such as Legal, Internal Audit, Human Resources, and Finance to thoroughly investigate compliance issues or regulatory breaches and ensure appropriate remediation plans are enacted. Design and deliver annual compliance training for all employees. Lead or supervise compliance-related due diligence and integration initiatives. Qualifications Leadership experience within a managed services organization in the healthcare sector is highly preferred. Significant prior experience in developing or enhancing a compliance program is greatly valued. Advanced degrees such as MHA, JD, or MBA are advantageous but not essential. A minimum of 8 years of relevant compliance experience is ideal. Self-driven and independent, with the ability to determine when to escalate issues or seek help. Strong ability to interpret regulations and convey applicable regulatory guidance to senior management effectively. Experience in team leadership and facilitating organizational change. Excellent organizational and critical thinking capabilities. Proficient in project management, especially in managing multiple high-stakes projects. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a talent for interpreting legal and compliance requirements for diverse audiences. Ability to tailor recommendations based on the audience for maximum impact. Demonstrated enthusiasm and proactive management of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel as required. Salary and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $137,300 - $211,200 USD, with eligibility for bonuses.
