ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW Conard House is a nonprofit organization with a mission to build welcoming communities and caring relationships that empower people and restore hope. Conard House specializes in Supportive Housing, Mental Health and Money Management services to 1,500 residents and clients across 10 residential buildings, 4 program sites and 22 shared apartments across San Francisco. POSITION OVERVIEW Conard House is seeking a Development and Grants Manager responsible for donor cultivation and giving, grant writing and reporting, database management, corporate and foundation giving and collaboration on special events. The Development and Grants Manager works closely with the CEO/Executive Director to meet upwards of $1M annual fundraising goal and strategies. Success in this role requires timely submission of high-quality grant proposals and reports, measurable growth in donor cultivation and retention through personalized outreach, increased visibility via strategic communications and accurate data tracking and management of the fundraising CRM. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Implement fundraising initiatives and campaigns to meet Conard House's annual revenue goals. Cultivate individual, corporate and foundation donors and prospects. Research and submit grant proposals and manage grant reports. Develop effective donor communications to share stories of residents/clients/CH programs, including one-on-one meetings, on-line campaigns, Conard Bulletin newsletter, website, social media and other materials. Collaborate with the Conard House Community of residents, clients, staff, volunteers, stakeholders, vendors. Leverage the existing Ambassador Program materials, Case for Giving and Strategic Roadmap/Business Plan to reach prospective donors to meet/exceed fundraising goals. Expand the Ambassador Program. Represent Conard House by networking at engagements and events. Collaborate on special events that raise awareness and funds for Conard House. Collect, Monitor, Track, Reconcile and Report Data in the Fundraising CRM. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant management and development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling donor communications, grants, campaigns, quarterly newsletter and other initiatives. Strong organizational and administrative skills in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, program participants, Board members, stakeholders, interns and volunteers. Experience with fundraising databases, aka Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
