We are currently looking for a Full Time Medical Family Therapist to join our Medical Family Therapy A team located at the Chickasaw Children's Village. Primary hours: 12pm-9pm - Monday-Thursday at the Chickasaw Children's Village, and 8am-5pm on Friday at Tishomingo Clinic. Summary: Provides therapeutic services to families, couples, groups, and individuals within the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health clinics to ensure access to quality integrated health services, promote quality healthcare, and help improve overall health. Delivers brief, consultation-based services to individuals served and medical providers. Medical Family Therapists must be comfortable with a flexible schedule, and adept in working closely with medical providers and other team members. Responsibilities: The expectation is that embedded therapists will complete at least 8 brief visits per day and hybrid therapists will complete at least 4-5 hour long visits per day Provides evidence-based family, couple, individual and group therapy Conducts evidence-based diagnostic screenings and assessments Aids in formulating and implementing assessment methods to measure program effectiveness Documents all services in the electronic health record to maintain records in accordance with standard elements needed for billing and ethical standards for practice Assists leadership in developing referrals and streamlining program processes Collaborates with physicians and medical providers on behalf of individual served and makes referrals as necessary Manages timely email correspondence, prepares reports, and supports business operations related to medical family therapy services within CNDH and CNDFS Provides crisis intervention as needed during regular work hours Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities Attends all relevant staff, provider and quality improvement meetings Regularly evaluates the Medical Family Therapy service model Assists with care coordination and access to outside resources for patients, as needed Collaborates with CNDH, CNDFS and other non-tribal entities to deliver services effectively to individuals and families Participates in community outreach and related events and maintains protocol as established by the Chickasaw Nation Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types - Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner - Greets and engages with a smile - Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types - Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment - Maintains and promotes professionalism - Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics - Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc. Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies: Essential: Ability to be flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment or situation Ability to assist in planning and preparing grant proposals Must be comfortable working in medical settings Exhibit high energy necessary to thrive in a fast pace medical environment Ability to work with a diverse patient and staff population Able to follow instructions, both written and oral Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements Must be self-motivated Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines Basic knowledge and understanding of primary care Basic, nontechnical knowledge of psychotropic and other relevant medications Learn and apply Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Privacy Act, Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), Freedom of Information Act, Compliance Standards, Joint Commission Accreditation, and other various regulations Knowledge and understanding of First American populations Must be proficient in the use of electronic health record keeping systems Strong work ethic Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Skills: Essential: Intermediate computer skills Excellent Microsoft Office skills Therapeutic skills Experience: Nonessential: 2 years directly related experience Education: Essential: Masters Degree in directly related field Nonessential: Doctorate Degree in directly related field Essential: Master's degree in the mental health field Credentials: Essential: Pass general background check Standard Driver's License Please see the below comments Nonessential: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Licensed Professional Counselor Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counseling / Mental Health Essential: Must be a currently licensed or license-eligible therapist in Oklahoma (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, LADC-MH, LBP, or Psychologist), license eligible candidates must be able to achieve licensure within two years of hire Working Conditions: Essential: Works in a hospital or clinic environment Stressful environment due to any or a combination of deadlines, pressures, multiple tasks, lines of communication, risks, speed of operations, etc. Subject to traveling and working at other locations or in other environments Sitting up to 100% of shift Standing up to 25% of shift Walking up to 25% of shift May work irregular hours May work weekend shift Pass pre-employment drug test
